What Motivates You?


That quote was something I needed to read today. Sometimes I struggle with keeping motivation. We all do right?

I’ve been fast food free since Jan 1st, I’m tracking my food religiously. I think my motivation comes from looking at my “before” pics every day. Yes, I look at them every day.

“Why don’t you look in the mirror?” you might be thinking…I look at my pic because it captured my facial expression of exactly how I felt. Fed up. Fat. Gross. Not happy at all. So I see that and remember I do not want to feel that way anymore.

People come and go out of our lives and when I’m dealing with a lifestyle change as big as this one, it’s important to me to surround myself with people who will support me 100%. Too many times in my life I’ve let someone’s opinion or beliefs sway the way I live or make decisions. Not anymore.

This weight didn’t come on overnight. It won’t come off overnight. But true support is what I need to reach my goals. I know ultimately it’s up to me, but who doesn’t like encouragement every now and then? 🙂
